My mother died from COPD and lung cancer, complicated by years of alcoholism and of course, smoking.

About Me

- I’ve been an admirer and observer of nature for all of my life. My passion is to capture the wonder and beauty of the natural world, and I have been an avid photographer since my teens. My love of photography came from an extension of not only my love of nature, but as a result of wanting to continue my creative pursuits. Nature provides endless opportunities to see something new and wonderful, if you stop to take the time to look, to listen, and to feel. I’m a lifelong resident of New Jersey, and a very long time resident of the New Jersey shore, and I particularly enjoy exploring the tidal marshes, lakes, rivers, the shore and surrounding Pine Barrens wilderness in search of new and interesting subjects for photographs. Birds are far and away my favorite subject. I spent almost 30 years working as systems analyst and manager of scientific computing for a large pharmaceutical company. In addition, I worked for 15 years as a level designer for computer and video games, including some well known, major titles for the PC. My artistic and creative side truly rules my life and is far and away what I love to be doing.
